The 1st ever rpd epistolary contest
As part of our new dedication to showcasing epistolary works, during the month of October we held our very first contest. The collective staff of our magazine judged submissions of no more than 500 words that lend voice to thought in search of, in honor of, instead of. We wanted to read the best, most important, and otherworldly devastating letter of our lives.
We would like to thank everyone who submitted to this contest. They did not make our choice easy. But we have narrowed down our top three choices, all of which will be published in the December issue. They are:
First Place: "Act Four" by Tom Loughlin
Second Place: "You Owe Me" by Dr. Christina Dalcher
Third Place: "Dear Heart" by Ingrid Jendrzejewski
These are certainly not for the faint of heart.
